How to Edit a Listing on All About Retreats

Posting a listing on All About Retreats is designed to be user friendly and to allow anyone who chooses a membership plan to post a listing themselves.

Follow the directions below carefully. If you have any problems posting your listing please contact us.

Editing or Creating a Listing

To edit or post a listing you need to first become a member by filling out our Listing Membership Form. We will then send you our ad package plans for you to choose from. To pay for a plan you can choose to pay be check, Credit Card or PayPal. To use PayPal you do not need to have a PayPal account.

If you pay by check, PayPal or call us to give a credit/debit card your account will be activated once payment is received, and an email will be sent to you to alert you about your account activation.

You will then be asked to register on All About Retreats by creating a username and password.

After you are registered on All About Retreats, you will then be able to login and edit your listing, images and contact information at any time.

Editing a Listing:

  1. Login and Basic Editing: You can login on AAR by going to any page on the website and using the login form in the right sidebar. From there a new Member Menu will be visible on the sidebar for you to view your account details. To edit your listing go to the page on the website where your listing is located and click on the "edit" button that shows up next to your listing, either in the short description or details page).
  2. NOTE for text editing: The short description can only be 100 or so words and the long description can be 160 words or so. No link can be placed in this text and please do not alter the font since the styles are already set. You can use bold, italics, underline. We will be reviewing your edits after you submit them to be sure all looks good. Thanks!
  3. Changing Images: Before you begin editing your listing it is suggested that you prepare your images. You will be able to have two images (please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you want more images). One is the small thumbnail image for the category view and one is for your full page listing that shows after someone has clicked to view the full listing. You will not be able to post images larger than a 60k file size. Your images will be resized automatically to a specific width or height, but you can adjust them to 110 pixels for the small image and 300 pixels for the large image.

Create a New Listing

You will be able to create a new listing if you have chosen to create your own OR have bought a listing package that allows you to create new Retreat Listings for your programs or Center.

  1. Prepare Images: Before you begin to create your listing it is suggested that you prepare your images. You will be able to have two images (please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you want more images). One is the small thumbnail image for the category view and one is for your full page listing that shows after someone has clicked to view the full listing. You will not be able to post images larger than a 60k file size. Your images will be resized automatically to a specific width or height, but you can adjust them to 110 pixels for the small image and 300 pixels for the large image.
  2. Prepare Text: Your listing will have a short view and a large full listing view. Prepare text for the short view that is about 60 words and for the full view you can have an additional 150 words. NOTE: In the full view all the text you input in both boxes will show.
  3. Filling out Listing Form: The form has many fields and you will want to fill out as much information as possible to make it easy for the site visitors. To find info about each field just place your mouse over each "?" icon to get specific info.
  4. Categories: If you feel that no category is descriptive of your listing, or there is not one for your area, then please suggest a category for us. To begin just choose the category that best matches your Center or Program.
  5. Edit Later: You will be able to edit your listing later and change images, so if there is some info you do not have ready just come back to the site when you are ready, login and go to where your listing is located on the website, then click the edit button located near your listing.
  6. Listing Activated: When your listing is submitted our listing administrator will review the listing. We may ask for adjustments, assist with adding images, and when all is ready we will activate your listing.

After your listing has gone live you will be notified when new features have been added.

Current Features Include:

  1. Featured Listing: You can buy additional advertising by being featured on many pages within the website please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 415.755.7008 if you would like to take advantage of this.
  2. Additional Images: You can add additional images depending on the package you have chosen for your listing.
  3. Additional Categories: We offer all of our Listing Members the ability to show their listing in more than one category. Please contact us for details.
